Those little boys were raped and no 10 year can consent to mutual sex. It's just horrible. I don't need to see him dead. I just want him to suffer horribly in prison forever. Or until someone actually does kill him in prison.
m.Markhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01049586061176648341noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8343382610723218728.post-21262719278742074412011-11-14T18:06:17.446-05:002011-11-14T18:06:17.446-05:00Happy Birthday! And don't let my whining about starting a teaching career as a 41 year old deter you from chasing after your dream.

It would have been easier as a 20 year old, but I did a lot of cool (and stupid) stuff in that gap of time :)

If you are serious about college, get hooked up with a nearby community college for one class. That gets you into the habit of school. A counselor will be able to clue you into any specific requirements (and shortcuts) that you may need to meet to get teaching.

It has taken me a full year to complete an Alternative Teaching certificate even though I started with a college degree. BUT, I was able to start teaching (and getting paid) once I started working on my certificate. maybe something like that is available near you.

drop me an email if you would like athomedaddy(at)gmail. I really have nothing to add but to say that you're not alone. I've been with the State for almost 25 years and fell into it by accident and without a college degree. I've moved up a couple of time within. Still, had I not had this job, I'm not sure where I would be. At this point, it pays the bills and supports the six of us. I'm just hoping to ride it out for the next 10 years until retirement.
I'm don't take chances either. While Fred is the go-getter, I'm more at peace just to sit back and go with the flow. It's good that I have him.
Take care of yourself.
m.Markhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01049586061176648341noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8343382610723218728.post-10397104051443806962011-10-27T01:46:35.367-04:002011-10-27T01:46:35.367-04:00When you find out, let me know!

I've been stressed out too many times by the sheer volume of activities and interests I have going on. Best to try to focus on just a few things. There are things I want to do, but for whatever reason, are a bit of a stretch.

I don't know that anyone can tell you what to do to get it done. It would probably cheapen the experience anyway. Isn't there a slogan for that? "Just Do It."

The only advice I could give is to realize that you will need to step outside your comfort zone if you want to get things done. Whether it be financially or not, growth can be uncomfortable. It takes time to get used to the discomfort and at that point, it's time to stretch again.

Good luck!3GKnighthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06619904623457434103noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8343382610723218728.post-89719782052828957682011-10-21T16:32:35.927-04:002011-10-21T16:32:35.927-04:00My answer is Universal Health Care--it's ridic...My answer is Universal Health Care--it's ridiculous that so many people's lives are upended over situations like this. It comes down to refusing them anything special if they give me attitude. The crummy thing is that it usually affects their siblings too.
